Job Role : Technical Support Engineer – HF
Job Type : Full Time Job
Summary / Role Purpose:
- You will join the Ansys Customer Excellence team, where you will support customers worldwide on all aspects of their real-world engineering simulation projects and help them successfully integrate Ansys software into their design workflows.
- You will use your engineering knowledge to provide high-quality technical support, find solutions to a wide range of technical challenges, and gather customer feedback to improve Ansys products.
- You will be part of a positive and dynamic team of engineers who are passionate about delivering the highest quality solutions to our customers.
- You will have the opportunity to advance your knowledge, experience, and impact on the success of both our customers and Ansys.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- You have to apply your engineering expertise and knowledge of RF/Microwave, Signal Integrity (SI), Power Integrity (PI), or other relevant areas to provide the highest level of technical support to customers and channel partners worldwide.
- You need to leverage subject matter experts and Ansys knowledge to ensure high-quality and timely customer service that results in high customer satisfaction while adhering to support processes and best practices.
- You need to develop technical expertise in one of the following simulation areas: RF/Microwave, SI, PI, or Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC).
- You have to stay updated with the capabilities of the latest Ansys Electronics product releases.
- You need to develop simulation best practices, solutions, and FAQs for the knowledge base.
- You have to submit suggestions for product improvement and file defect reports, ensuring they adhere to established defect reporting processes.
- You will participate in field testing of new releases to ensure that new features and workflows meet customer requirements.
- You need to be agile and open to taking on new responsibilities as business needs evolve.
- You will participate in other strategic team and company initiatives as needed.
Minimum Education/Certification Requirements and Experience
- You must have a Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Electronics, Electronics and Communication Engineering, or a related field specializing in Electromagnetics.
- You need to have a solid understanding of the principles of RF/Microwave or SI/PI.
- You must be able to demonstrate strong problem-solving skills and the ability to implement numerical models to find practical engineering solutions to challenging problems.
- You must have an engaging personality, a strong sense of curiosity, and a willingness to continuously learn.
- You must be able to work independently as well as effectively within a diverse team environment.
- You must have strong logical, problem-solving, interpersonal, and communication skills, with fluency in both written and spoken English.
- You must have strong organizational and time management skills and a sense of urgency.
- You must be interested in working directly with customers.
Preferred Qualifications and Skills
- It’s preferred if you have a Master’s degree in Electronics, Electronics and Communication Engineering.
- It’s preferred if you have experience using Ansys HFSS, HFSS 3D Layout, SIwave, Q3D, or other simulation software in real-world, industry-level applications.
- It’s helpful if you are familiar with RF/Microwave, signal and power integrity simulation analysis and/or EMI/EMC.
- You should have an understanding of electronics industry trends, technologies, engineering environments, product design complexity, development challenges, etc.
