🎯 Job Role – Software Development Engineer in Test
As a Software Development Engineer in Test at Trellix, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and security of Trellix’s advanced security products, including Email Security (EX) and Malware Analysis (AX). You will be responsible for:
- 🔍 Requirement Analysis & Test Planning:
- Analyzing requirements and preparing detailed test plans.
- Setting up test data and test environments for effective test execution.
- 🧪 Test Execution & Defect Management:
- Executing test cases and raising defects with detailed information for developers.
- Ensuring status reporting and highlighting any risks or issues in a timely manner.
- 🤖 Automation & Regression Testing:
- Building effective and maintainable automation scripts.
- Executing automation regression tests on each release and identifying defects.
- 👥 Team Collaboration & Mentorship:
- Working effectively with senior engineers within the business unit.
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality security solutions.

- 🎓 Educational Qualification:
- Bachelor’s/Master’s in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- 🌐 Key Skills Required:
- 1-2 years of experience in QA automation (preferably with Python).
- Good debugging and problem-solving skills.
- Experience in Unix/Linux environments.
- Familiarity with Virtualized environments.
- Strong communication skills – Both oral and written.
