About TCS National Qualifier Test
- NQT (Cognitive Skills) is a prerequisite for all the tests.
- The validity of the NQT score is of two years.
- Candidates are eligible to apply on the TCS iON Job Listing Portal with an NQT score.
- NQT exams are conducted at the TCS iON centers.
Eligibility Criteria
Candidates must meet the below eligibility criteria to apply for TCS NQT:
- Students with UG, PG, and Diploma are currently in their pre-final, final year, or have passed out.
- Percentage Criteria for freshers; 60% minimum throughout X/XII/Diploma/UG/PG.
- Students with any degree of specialization are eligible to sit for TCS NQT.
- Freshers having less than 2 years of experience are eligible.
- The candidates must be from the age bracket of 18-28 years.
Application Process
- Go to the “TCS National Qualifier Test (TCS NQT)” page and click on the “Register Now” button.
- Click on the login button if you have already registered.
- Now Enter your TCS iON Digital Learning Hub credentials. Or Sign up if you are a new user by hitting on “Create Account”.
- Now, fill in all the required details correctly.
- Click on the SUBMIT button to complete the Registration.
- After successful registration, you will get a confirmation message on your mail id and mobile number.

Selection Process
Like any other competitive exam, each phase of the TCS NQT Exam 2024 selection process is a qualifying round in itself. Candidates must secure the TCS NQT Cut-Off Marks to qualify for the next phase. There are four stages of the selection process. These include:
- Online Test
- Technical interview
- Managerial Interview
- HR Interview
Round 1: Online Test
Stage 1 involves online test. The examination comprised of two rounds, and these will be conducted on the TCS iON centers.
- Foundation Round: mandatory for Ninja Aspirants
- Advanced Round: mandatory for Digital and Prime Aspirants

Round 2 (Technical Interview)
If you have cleared the Online test then TCS will contact you for further rounds. In this round, basic coding questions are asked. Some questions on computer science subjects such as DBMS, OS, CN and OOPS can also be asked. Also, you can prepare for language-specific questions that you have mentioned in the resume.
Managerial Round
This round can have both technical or HR-based questions regarding past internship experience, resume projects, teamwork, etc.
HR Round
This is an average HR round and contains behavioral questions and they discuss with you the compensation. They basically analyze your confidence, communication and leadership quality and check whether or not you are telling any lies.

Important Points
- There is no negative marking
- You can only sit for the advanced section after clearing the foundation section
- Applicants are not allowed to switch between sections or sub-sections
- Applicants are not allowed to revisit questions that have already been answered
- There will be one teacher to proctor the exam for every 20 students
- For people giving the test at home, AI will monitor video and audio
- Applicants will not be allowed to move their eyes down during the examination
- All tests are conducted in English
- A calculator and rough paper will be provided on the desktop screen
- All TCS NQT Variants Scorecards are valid for 2 years
- If applicants shift between tabs/browsers, the exam will end immediately
- The TCS NQT does not have a minimum cut-off or pass/fail criteria
Managerial Round
- Content: Includes everything from the Technical round.
- Pressure: High-pressure environment with cross-checking.
- Stress Testing: Doubts raised to assess stress handling.
- Next Round: May or may not be sent based on previous round feedback.
- Good Feedback: Could lead directly to HR round.
- Key: Remain calm, confident, clear, and persistent under pressure.
- Unknown Answers: Attempt with existing knowledge.
HR Round
- Relocation: Address any potential relocation issues
- Final Round: Last stage of the recruitment process.
- Topics: Personality, family, education, hobbies, internships, general knowledge, HR questions.
- Key: Be confident in everything you discuss.
