Role Overview:
As a Software Engineer – Analyst, you will be part of the Global Data Center (GDC) software engineering team at Goldman Sachs. You will contribute to the development and maintenance of tools used for managing and inventorying IT assets across the firm’s technology infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities:
- Inventory management: Onboard GDC inventories to the central inventory platform.
- Data structure design: Design data structures for effective reporting and analytics.
- Asset discovery: Implement systems to accurately discover assets in the datacenter.
- Big data: Build data pipelines to transform and load data into inventory systems.
- Systems management: Design and implement software to automate tasks and improve productivity.
- Infrastructure provisioning: Participate in building and maintaining inventory systems.
- Software deployment: Deploy and maintain software solutions, including server configuration, database management, and performance monitoring.
- Collaboration: Work with other engineering teams to understand and leverage technology offerings.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science.
- System design: Experience designing and building scalable systems.
- Database experience: Familiarity with MongoDB, DB2, or graph databases.
- Web services: Experience building RESTful web services.
- Communication: Strong oral and written communication skills.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Programming: Strong Java and Python development skills.
- Technical skills: Analytical mindset, problem-solving abilities, and a passion for technology.
- Python frameworks: Experience with Django, Flask, or Pyramid.
- NoSQL databases: Knowledge of MongoDB or ElasticSearch.
- Debugging: Ability to debug code and troubleshoot Python-related issues.
- Teamwork: Strong team player and ability to work in a global organization.
- Business focus: Understanding of client requirements and how solutions benefit the business.
Overall, this role involves designing, developing, and maintaining software solutions to support the management and inventory of IT assets within Goldman Sachs’ Global Data Center.
Expected CTC
INR 750,000.00 – INR 12,00,000.00 per Annum
