Eaton is looking for a talented Associate Engineer to join our team and work on innovative connector and terminal solutions for electric vehicles.

As an Associate Engineer, you will:

  • Design and develop electrical connectors and terminals for EV applications.
  • Use your knowledge of electronics, electrical engineering, and mechanical design to create innovative solutions.
  • Derive requirements for connector size, fastening, current rating, protection, and mounting.
  • Develop new designs and improve existing ones.
  • Work with a team to execute project activities and meet deadlines.
  • Benchmark competitor products and identify areas for improvement.
  • Perform calculations to support design refinement.
  • Create drawings and apply GD&T controls.
  • Use DFSS principles to ensure robust design.
  • Release drawings to suppliers for prototypes and production.
  • Prepare design review documents.

To be successful in this role, you should have:

  • A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Mechatronics Engineering.
  • Strong mechanical product design and CAD skills.
  • A basic understanding of electrical engineering.
  • A “Go Beyond” mindset.
  • Excellent presentation, communication, and leadership skills.
  • The ability to work independently.
