Eaton is looking for a talented Associate Engineer to join our team and work on innovative connector and terminal solutions for electric vehicles.
As an Associate Engineer, you will:
- Design and develop electrical connectors and terminals for EV applications.
- Use your knowledge of electronics, electrical engineering, and mechanical design to create innovative solutions.
- Derive requirements for connector size, fastening, current rating, protection, and mounting.
- Develop new designs and improve existing ones.
- Work with a team to execute project activities and meet deadlines.
- Benchmark competitor products and identify areas for improvement.
- Perform calculations to support design refinement.
- Create drawings and apply GD&T controls.
- Use DFSS principles to ensure robust design.
- Release drawings to suppliers for prototypes and production.
- Prepare design review documents.
To be successful in this role, you should have:
- A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Mechatronics Engineering.
- Strong mechanical product design and CAD skills.
- A basic understanding of electrical engineering.
- A “Go Beyond” mindset.
- Excellent presentation, communication, and leadership skills.
- The ability to work independently.
