Job Description Summary:

The Surveillance and Anti-Money Laundering (AML) team is accountable for developing, implementing, and overseeing a range of surveillance measures aimed at identifying activities that might breach regulatory guidelines or internal policies. Upon detecting potentially irregular behavior, the team is tasked with escalating the issue and collaborating with partners in the first and second lines of defense to address it appropriately. Upholding the firm’s reputation and protecting its clients and assets involves ensuring compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and policies, exercising ethical judgment in personal conduct and business practices, and promptly addressing and reporting control issues transparently. The candidate will analyze trade surveillance alerts retrospectively and escalate daily exception reports as needed.

Technical Requirements:

• Prior experience with Exchange & Trade regulatory frameworks.
• Proficiency in trade products with intermediate to expert knowledge.
• Familiarity with the trade life cycle at an intermediate to expert level.
• Knowledge of market abuse and fraudulent practices in trade products.
• Advantageous to have experience working with SMARTS or a similar Trade surveillance system.
• Experience in reviewing trade alerts, conducting investigations, and determining outcomes.
• Preferred experience in Anti-Money Laundering (AML) operations, including Know Your Customer (KYC), due diligence, screening, and transaction monitoring.
