TCS NQT – Test Eligibility
- Percentage: Candidates must have a minimum of 60% or a CGPA of 6 throughout their academics, including their highest qualification, up to the latest semester results declared at the time of the test process. The degree or provisional degree certificate should state that the candidate has cleared Engineering in ‘First Class’ upon completion of the course, at the time of joining.
- Academic Degrees: TCS NQT is open exclusively for candidates from the batch of 2024 with the following academic degrees: Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech.), Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.), Master of Technology (M.Tech.), Master of Engineering (M.E.), Master of Computer Applications (M.C.A.), Master of Science (M.Sc. / M.S.) in any specialization offered by AICTE / UGC recognized universities/colleges.
- Backlogs / Arrears / ATKT: Candidates should not have any pending or active backlog/arrears / ATKT at the time of appearing for the TCS Selection process. If selected, no pending backlogs/arrears / ATKT will be permitted at the time of joining TCS. All pending backlogs/arrears / ATKT should be cleared within the course duration stipulated by the University.
- Extended Education: Extended education is not allowed. Candidates should have completed the course within the stipulated course duration.
- Gap / Break in Education: Candidates must declare any gaps in education. The overall academic gap should not exceed 24 months until the highest qualification. Relevant documentation will be checked for gaps in education.
- Course Types: Only full-time courses will be considered. Part-time / Correspondence courses will not be considered.
- Open Schooling: Candidates who have completed their Secondary and/or Senior Secondary course from NIOS (National Institute of Open Schooling) are eligible to apply if the graduation and post-graduation (if applicable) courses are done full-time.
- Work Experience: Candidates with prior work experience of up to 2 years are eligible to apply for this hiring process, applicable only to postgraduate students.
- Age: Candidates should be between 18 to 28 years old to participate in this hiring event.

- This is an In-Center test; center allotment will be on a first-come-first-serve basis.
- Ensure you have all your original academic documents to date, to be submitted at the Interview (if the test is shortlisted).

TCS NQT – Test Features & Patterns
Features:
TCS NQT comprises two sections: Foundation and Advanced.
While attempting both sections is encouraged, the ‘Advanced section’ is mandatory for those aspiring for Digital or Prime roles.
Candidates will be shortlisted for Prime, Digital, or Ninja interviews based on their test performance.
TCS NQT will be conducted in TCS iON Centers.

TCS NQT-National Qualifier Test Application
Step 1: Visit the TCS NextStep Portal by clicking on the provided link.
Step 2: If you are already registered under the ‘IT’ category on the TCS NextStep Portal, log in using your TCS Reference ID (CT / DT reference number). Complete the application form and click on ‘Apply For Drive’. If you are a new user, click on “Register Now”, select the category “IT”, and fill in your details. Submit the application form and click on ‘Apply For Drive’.
Step 3: Choose the mode of test (In-Centre) and select your preferred test center. Then, click on Apply.
Step 4: To confirm your application status, check “Track Your Application”. The status should display as “Applied for Drive”.
