TCS NQT 2024 – Syllabus & Exam Pattern
The examination consists of two rounds, both administered on the TCS iON platform:
- Foundation Round: Compulsory for Ninja Aspirants
- Advanced Round: Compulsory for Digital and Prime Aspirants
(Note: Prime Aspirants were previously limited to students from IIT and NIT institutions; however, since 2024, eligibility extends to students from all colleges.)

Important Information:
- Candidates can attempt the advanced section only after successfully completing the foundation section.
- There is no penalty for incorrect answers (no negative marking).
- Candidates cannot switch between sections or sub-sections, nor can they revisit answered questions.
- A proctor will be assigned for every 20 candidates taking the exam.
- For candidates taking the test remotely, AI will monitor video and audio feeds.
- During the examination, candidates must maintain eye contact with the screen and will not be provided with extra or rough paper for calculations. However, a calculator and digital rough paper will be available on the desktop screen.
- The test is conducted exclusively in English.
- The TCS NQT does not have a specific cutoff score or pass/fail criteria.
- Scorecards for all TCS NQT variants remain valid for 2 years.
Important Note: If candidates switch between tabs or browsers during the exam, the session will terminate immediately.
