About Reserve Bank of India (RBI)
The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) is India’s central bank, responsible for regulating the banking system, issuing currency, and managing payment systems. Owned by the Ministry of Finance, it also promotes economic development. RBI prints Indian currency through Bharatiya Reserve Bank Note Mudran (BRBNM) at presses in Mysore and Salboni. It established the National Payments Corporation of India to oversee payment systems and the Deposit Insurance and Credit Guarantee Corporation to insure deposits and guarantee credit.

RBI Recruitment 2024 Eligibility Criteria
- Nationality:
Candidates must be:
- A citizen of India, or
- A subject of Nepal or Bhutan, or
- A Tibetan refugee who settled in India before 1st January 1962, or
- An Indian-origin person migrating from specified countries intending to permanent settlement in India.
Candidates requiring a certificate of eligibility may be admitted to the exam, but appointment offers will be contingent on receiving this certificate.
- Age Limit (as of July 01, 2024):
- Must be between 21 and 30 years old. (Born between July 02, 1994, and July 01, 2003).
III. Minimum Educational Qualifications:
- Officers in Grade ‘B’ (DR) – General:
- Graduation in any discipline with 60% marks (50% for SC/ST/PwBD) or Post-Graduation with 55% marks (pass marks for SC/ST/PwBD).
- Officers in Grade ‘B’ (DR) – DEPR:
- Master’s Degree in Economics or Finance with 55% marks (50% for SC/ST/PwBD).
- Desirable: Doctorate in Economics or relevant research/teaching experience.
- Officers in Grade ‘B’ (DR) – DSIM:
- Master’s Degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Data Science, or related fields with 55% marks (50% for SC/ST/PwBD) or a Bachelor’s Degree in Data Science/AI/ML with 60% marks.
- Desirable: Doctorate or research/teaching experience in relevant subjects.

Salary and Allowances
- Basic Pay: ₹55,200/- per month
- Gross Emoluments (Without HRA): ₹1,22,717/- approx.
