Maharashtra State Police has published recruitment notification of Total 17471 Vacancies of 9595 Police Constable (पोलीस हवालदार) , 1686 Police Constable Driver, 1800 Jail Constable (कारागृह शिपाई), 4349 Armed Police Constable, and 41 Police Constable Bandsman posts in Maharashtra State Prison Department. Eligible Interested candidates should apply online for Maharashtra Prison Department Jail Constable 2024 through Official Online Portal policerecruitment2024.mahait.org from 5th March 2024 to 31st March 2024. The last date for submission of application is extended up to 15th April 2024.
✅ The candidates who have applied for the post of Jail Constable will first undergo a 50-mark physical test and then a written test which will be held on the same day for all police units. The candidate should consider this while filling the online application form. ✅ The recruitment process will involve a physical test first. Out of the candidates who score minimum 50% marks in the Physical Efficiency Test, candidates will be shortlisted in the ratio of 1:10 from the vacancies advertised for the respective category and a written test of 100 marks will be conducted. The candidates are required to obtain minimum 40% marks in the written test. The candidates who score less than 40% marks in the written test will be considered disqualified. ✅ Written examination will be conducted on the same day in all the police units. The candidate should consider this while filling the online application form. ✅ Based on the results of the two criteria mentioned in the physical test and written test, a merit list of the candidates will be prepared. Only the candidates who are included in the provisional selection list will have their original documents verified. The candidates who are found eligible in the document verification will be included in the selection list. The selection of the candidates in the selection list will be provisional. After combining the marks obtained in the physical test and written test, the final merit list will be prepared as per Govt rules
