In this role, you will:
- Gather and organize data: You’ll collect security level data from various sources and organize it effectively.
- Map data: You’ll link CUSIP and ISIN codes to their corresponding Morningstar DBRS ratings.
- Maintain reports: You’ll keep scheduled and automated reports up-to-date and troubleshoot any issues.
- Handle data requests: You’ll respond to data-related inquiries from both internal and external teams.
- Ensure data quality: You’ll work with the global team to ensure the accuracy, quality, and reliability of the security ratings database.
- Collaborate with rating analysts: You’ll maintain a strong relationship with rating analysts to comply with regulations.
Morningstar Off Campus Eligibility Criteria
- Education: You need a bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Economics, Finance, or Management Studies.
- Experience: 1-2 years of experience working with financial data. Experience at a rating agency is a plus.
- Data Skills: You should be good at using tools to collect and analyze data.
- Technical Skills: Experience with SQL (especially MS SQL Server) is a plus. You should be comfortable working with large datasets.
- Communication Skills: You must have excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
- Other Skills:
- You should be detail-oriented and accurate.
- You should be motivated, a self-starter, and have a strong work ethic.
- You should be able to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
- You should be a good team player.
Recommended Skills (Helpful but Not Required):
- Bloomberg/Thomson Reuters: Experience using these financial data terminals.
- Financial Knowledge: Knowledge of fixed income or capital markets.
- Programming: Experience with Python.
