Job Description Summary

Overview:

  • You will work collaboratively with other engineers and developers as part of an agile scrum team to develop and improve cutting-edge technology solutions within the payments industry.

Role:

  • You will be responsible for the complete analysis, design, development, and delivery of high-quality software solutions, adhering to team best practices.
  • You will create unit tests and ensure high code coverage.
  • You will implement and maintain advanced applications, software development kits (SDKs), and tools for the payment industry.
  • You will identify opportunities to reuse code and contribute to the development of common code libraries.
  • You will assist senior team members in the development of applications, interfaces, and complete software solutions.
  • You will be responsible for significant code development and day-to-day support duties.
  • You will create test strategies and test plans, translating complex system requirements into appropriate tests.
  • You will implement and maintain test tools and frameworks to support automated testing.
  • You will assist in the creation of documentation such as release documentation, user guides, and software development guides.
  • You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.
  • You will ensure the timely delivery of high-quality work that adheres to both industry and team standards.
  • You will participate in code reviews and design discussions, providing constructive comments and feedback.
  • You will proactively participate in technical discussions and presentations for the benefit of the team.

Mastercard Job Role Eligibility Criteria

  • You should have a degree in a relevant science discipline (Computer Science or other Engineering subjects) or possess significant hands-on experience and be able to demonstrate your knowledge.
  • You must be passionate about technology development and possess a genuine curiosity to learn new things. This passion should likely be reflected in your hobbies and reading activities.
  • You should have a continuous improvement mindset, striving to find better ways of working, taking initiative, building on your current skills, and learning new skills that align with the team’s strategy.
  • You must demonstrate strong programming skills and knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) to develop new applications/systems that function smoothly and require minimal maintenance.
  • Familiarity with Android and/or iOS development is considered an advantage.
  • Exposure to digital payments and cryptography is considered an advantage.
  • Experience with agile principles and practices is considered an advantage.
