Indian Army (TES-52) Recruitment 2024 Vacancy

The number of vacancies for this course is initially set at 90, but it is provisional and subject to change depending on the training capacity at the Cadets Training Wings. These vacancies can increase or decrease according to the organizational requirements at that time.

Indian Army (TES-52) Recruitment 2024 Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification

  • Candidates must have passed the 10+2 Examination or its equivalent with a minimum aggregate of 60% marks in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics from recognized education boards.
  • The eligibility condition for calculating the PCM percentage for various state/central boards will be based on marks obtained in Class XII only.

Other Requirements:

  • Candidates must have appeared in the JEE (Mains) 2024 examination.

Medical Examination & Physical Standards:

  • For details regarding medical standards and the procedure of the medical examination for officer entry into the Army, candidates are advised to visit www.joinindianarmy.nic.in.
  • The proceedings of the Medical Board are confidential and will not be disclosed to anyone. The Directorate General of Recruiting does not have a role in any Medical Boards. The procedure advised by the competent medical authorities will be strictly followed.

Additional Conditions:

  • Candidates applying for the entry should not have been debarred from appearing in any examination by UPSC.
  • Candidates should not have been arrested/convicted by a criminal court or involved in any court case. If any such issue comes to notice during the selection process or pre-commission training, the candidate/cadet will be subjected to cancellation of candidature/withdrawal from the Academy by the IHQ of MoD (Army).

Age Limit

  • Candidates must be between 16½ years and 19½ years old on the first day of the month in which the course is due to commence. Specifically, candidates should not be born before July 2, 2005, and not after July 1, 2008 (both days inclusive).

Additional Notes:

  1. Only the date of birth as recorded in the Matriculation/Secondary School Examination or an equivalent certificate will be accepted. No other document relating to age will be accepted.
  2. Once a date of birth has been claimed by candidates and entered in the records, no change will be allowed subsequently on any ground whatsoever.

Nationality

Candidates must be unmarried males and citizens of India, Bhutan, Nepal, Tibetan refugees settled in India before 1962, or persons of Indian origin from specified countries. Those falling under categories (ii), (iii), (iv), (v) require a certificate of eligibility. Candidates must not marry until completion of training, and marrying during training leads to discharge and refund of expenses incurred by the government.

Indian Army (TES-52) Recruitment 2024 Selection Process

Selection Procedure:

  1. Applications will be shortlisted by the Integrated HQ of MoD (Army), with cut-offs determined without explanation. Shortlisted candidates will receive Centre allotment via email, followed by firm SSB dates.
  2. Shortlisted candidates will undergo SSB at Prayagraj, Bhopal, Bengaluru, or Jalandhar. Call-up letters will be sent to registered email IDs and SMS. Centre allotment is at the discretion of the Directorate General of Recruiting.
  3. The selection process consists of two stages. Those passing Stage I proceed to Stage II, while failures are returned the same day. SSB interviews last five days, followed by a medical examination for recommended candidates.
  4. Recommended and medically fit candidates receive Joining Letters for training based on merit and vacancies. Candidates must consent to a medical examination by a board of Male/Female doctors if recommended by SSB. Selected candidates execute prescribed Bonds/Certificates.
  5. Candidates must agree to accept any Arm/Service allocation in the organization’s interest upon final selection.

Indian Army (TES-52) Recruitment 2024 Training Period

Training Details:

  1. a) Phase-I: Integrated Basic Military Training & Engineering Training for three years at CME, Pune/MCTE, Mhow/MCEME, Secunderabad.
  2. b) Phase-II: Integrated Basic Military Training & Engineering Training for one year at IMA, Dehradun, or designated PCTA (Pre Commission Training Academy).
  3. c) Award of Degree: Candidates receive an Engineering degree upon successful completion of four years of training. No ante-date seniority is granted based on this degree. A maximum of two relegations due to academic reasons are permitted, as per the JNU Ordinance—any further relegation results in withdrawal from training.

Note: Appointment upon final selection is provisional pending satisfactory verification of antecedents by civil/police/education authorities.

Cost of Training: The cost of training is ₹13,940 per week (as of 2021) and may vary. This cost is borne by the State and will be recovered from candidates withdrawing for personal reasons.
