Your Role:
As a Data Engineer at IBM, you’ll work with data to find interesting patterns and insights. You’ll help collect, store, and process data. You’ll work with other teams to choose the right data management systems and identify important data for analysis. You’ll also solve problems with databases and work with complex data.
Responsibilities:
- Data Analysis: Create and maintain statistical models for big data using various techniques.
- Search Applications: Design and implement search applications like Elasticsearch and Splunk.
- Collaboration: Work with other teams to bring analytical methods to problem-solving.
- Data Processing: Build programs to clean and integrate data, create models, and evaluate results.
- Data Pipelines: Develop and maintain data pipelines using ETL tools like Informatica PowerCenter or cloud-based tools.
- Collaboration: Work with business teams, technical leads, and data scientists to gather requirements, identify data sources, and address data issues.
Required Skills:
- Data Expertise: Experience with data warehousing, information management, data integration, and business intelligence using Informatica PowerCenter.
- Technology Knowledge: Knowledge of cloud platforms, Power BI, data migration on cloud, Unix shell scripting, and Python.
- Database Skills: Experience with relational SQL, Big Data, and other databases.
Preferred Skills:
- Cloud Expertise: Knowledge of MS-Azure Cloud.
- Informatica Experience: Experience with Informatica PowerCenter.
- Scripting Skills: Experience with Unix shell scripting and Python.
Location
Mumbai, IN
Travel Required:
Up to 20% or 1 day a week
