About the role:
- You’ll be a key member of a fast-paced team at IBM, helping organizations optimize their IT investments using Apptio solutions.
- Your primary focus will be acquiring new Apptio clients and driving revenue growth.
What you’ll do:
- Prospecting and Lead Generation: You’ll proactively find and develop new business relationships to convert them into paying customers.
- Sales Cycle Management: You’ll guide potential customers through the entire sales process, from initial contact to closing the deal.
- Consultative Selling: You’ll understand customer needs and challenges, then recommend Apptio solutions that can help them achieve their goals.
- Product Demonstrations: You’ll effectively showcase the capabilities of Apptio products to potential customers.
- Proof of Value (POV) Development: You’ll collaborate with technical teams to create and deliver successful POVs that demonstrate the value of Apptio solutions.
- Building Relationships: You’ll establish strong relationships with various internal teams like product management, marketing, and sales engineers to ensure successful deal execution.
- Customer Success: You’ll play a role in ensuring customer satisfaction by helping them expand their use of Apptio products.
- Salesforce Management: You’ll use Salesforce to manage your sales activities, track progress, and keep all stakeholders updated.
What you need to have:
- Sales Experience: At least 2 years of experience in selling software solutions.
- Prospecting Skills: You must be skilled at finding and contacting potential customers.
- Technology Background: You should have experience selling technology-related products.
- Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential.
- Salesforce & Tools: Experience using Salesforce CRM and other sales tools like SalesLoft.
- Partner Experience: You should have experience working with and selling through partners.
- Fast-Paced Environment: You should be comfortable working in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
Bonus Points:
- SaaS & Analytics Experience: Experience selling SaaS products or analytics solutions is a plus.
- Sales Methodologies: Experience with sales methodologies like Sandler, MEDDIC, or Force Management.
- Cloud Experience: Experience with public cloud infrastructure (like AWS, Azure, GCP) and pricing.
- C-Level Selling: Experience selling to senior executives (C-level).
- Agile/DevOps: Experience selling to Agile and DevOps teams.
- Sales Training: Formal training in sales techniques.
