Your Role and Responsibilities

As a Back End Developer Intern, you will play a vital role in the software development lifecycle, from design and code implementation to testing and support. As a Backend Developer Intern, you will:

Gain knowledge working with client-server architectures, networking protocols, application development, and using databases.
Create clean, well-documented, and user-friendly Application Programming Interfaces (APIs).
Design and code reusable and scalable servers, services, applications, and databases that meet critical architecture goals.
Develop an understanding of, or gain experience with, Agile development methodology.
Learn to create and configure Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS), Platform as a Service (PaaS), and Software as a Service (SaaS) applications.
Gain experience in designing and implementing large-scale systems and Service Oriented Architectures (SOA) that enable continuous delivery.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise:

Must have basic knowledge in one or more of the following technology areas: C++, C, Java, Ruby, Python, Perl, SQL
Knowledge working with servers, applications, and databases
Familiarity with APIs
Basic knowledge of operating systems and how they work (i.e., Operating systems courses); Container technologies; Internet Services; and/or Managed Services

Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise:

Must have a minimum of 3 months of experience in one or more of the following technology areas: GO, Kubernetes, C++, C, Java, Ruby, Python, Perl, SQL
Must have a minimum of 3 months of experience with APIs
