Key Responsibilities:
- Quickly and effectively solve customer problems with gas turbines.
- Identify and address safety concerns.
- Keep others informed about the progress of customer issues.
- Build relationships with internal teams to understand and meet customer needs.
- Communicate with customers and document best practices.
- Help operations and site teams with unplanned outages.
- Continuously improve processes using lean tools and principles.
Key Responsibilities:
- Resolve Technical Issues: Quickly and effectively address customer problems related to the cold section of gas turbines. Work with other teams (like manufacturing, sourcing, services, quality, and engineering) to find solutions.
- Prioritize Safety: Always be aware of safety risks and report them immediately.
- Keep Everyone Informed: Regularly update both GE Vernova employees and customers about the progress of issue resolution.
- Build Relationships: Work closely with other GE Vernova teams to ensure that customer needs are met.
- Share Knowledge: Write reports and share information with others to improve efficiency and document best practices.
- Support Operations: Help when there are unexpected shutdowns or problems with customer units.
- Continuously Improve: Use lean methods to find ways to work more efficiently.
Qualifications and Requirements
Essential:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related technical field.
- Experience with gas turbine design or similar technology.
- Willingness and ability to travel internationally for customer support, investigations, and inspections (up to 10% of the time).
- Availability to work outside of regular hours when needed to address customer issues.
Preferred:
- Experience working in a large, global organization with different teams.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and spoken, tailored to different audiences.
- A humble, open-minded approach to learning and collaboration.
- A team-oriented mindset, focused on supporting customers despite challenges.
- Knowledge of Six Sigma or other problem-solving methods.
- Ability to challenge current practices and technology to find better solutions for GE Vernova products.
- Previous experience in customer support or a similar role with a strong business focus.
