Engineer Trainee Positions at Tata Steel – Aspiring Engineers Program 2024

Program Details:

  1. Training Period: Selected candidates will be placed as Engineer Trainee for a duration of 1 year.
  2. Evaluation: Trainees will undergo regular evaluations during the training period.
  3. Post-Training Employment: On successful completion of training, trainees will be considered for full-time employment as Assistant Manager (IL6) at Tata Steel.

Functions and Disciplines:

Candidates must have completed or be in the final year of B.E./B.Tech./B.Sc. (Engg.) in the following disciplines:

  • Electrical/Electronics/Instrumentation/Power Electronics
  • Mechanical
  • Metallurgy
  • Mineral
  • Mining
  • Production Engineering
  • Industrial Engineering
  • Mechatronics

OR

Must have completed or be in the final year of M.Tech/M.Sc. in:

  • Geology
  • Geophysics
  • Remote Sensing
  • Geoinformatics

Minimum Education Qualifications:

  1. Candidates with a three-year diploma who joined the 2nd year of engineering and are in the final year of BE/B.Tech./B.Sc. (Engg) (Batch of 2024) are eligible.
  2. Candidates must have passed their minimum qualification exam not earlier than March 2020.
  3. Must have attended a full-time AICTE/UGC approved campus program.
  4. For General Candidates: Minimum score of 6.5 CGPA or 65% in BE/B.Tech./B.Sc. (Engg)/M.Tech./M.Sc.
  5. For Transgender, PwD, SC/ST Candidates: Minimum score of 6.0 CGPA or 60% in BE/B.Tech./B.Sc. (Engg)/M.Tech./M.Sc.
  6. Preference will be given to candidates domiciled in the State of Jharkhand and Odisha.

Age Limit:

  1. For General Candidates: Not more than 30 years as of the last date of the advertisement.
  2. For Transgender, PwD, SC/ST Candidates: Not more than 32 years as of the last date of the advertisement.

Emoluments:

  1. Stipend: ₹ 30,000 per month during the 1-year training period.
  2. Medi-Claim: Coverage for self, including hospitalization (₹ 2,50,000 per annum) and OPD coverage (₹ 6,000 per annum).
  3. Post-Training CTC: ₹ 7 lakhs per annum along with other perks and benefits as per company policy.
