Job Role : Junior Engineer/Engineer-Customer Service

Job Category : Customer Service and Support

Job Type : Full Time Job.

In this role, you will:

  • Check orders: Review customer purchase orders (POs) to ensure they meet Emerson’s terms and conditions and trade compliance policies.
  • Prepare order paperwork: Create checklists, screening forms, and handle trade and compliance checks.
  • Enter orders accurately: Make sure orders are entered correctly and match customer needs and factory capabilities.
  • Keep customers informed: Acknowledge orders promptly and provide regular updates on their status.
  • Speed up orders when needed: Review orders and expedite them to meet customer requests and Emerson’s service goals.
  • Manage order dates: Track and update dates for sales orders and backlogs to meet customer requirements.
  • Handle drop shipments: Arrange for products to be shipped directly from factories to customers.
  • Prepare shipping documents: Prepare certificates of conformance/origin and other shipping paperwork.
  • Set up new customers: Add new customer information to the system according to guidelines.
  • Create sales reports: Prepare sales forecasts and reports, and monitor them to meet targets.
  • Provide regular reports: Submit weekly and monthly reports on inquiries, bookings, backlogs, and shipments.
  • Answer customer calls: Professionally and consistently answer customer phone calls.
  • Coordinate order processing: Act as a link between different teams to ensure orders are processed smoothly.
  • Resolve order issues: Handle problems related to orders, including returns and credits, working with internal teams, overseas offices, factories, suppliers, and customers.
  • Communicate order changes: Make sure everyone is aware of any changes to orders.
  • Answer order questions: Respond promptly to customer inquiries about pricing, lead times, and order status.
  • Learn about Emerson products: Develop an understanding of Emerson Process Management products.
  • Improve processes: Participate in activities to continuously improve processes.
  • Perform other duties: Handle other tasks as assigned.

Emerson Off Campus 2025 Eligibility Criteria:

What You Need:

  • A bachelor’s degree in engineering, or equivalent experience. A degree in business administration or international trade is a plus.
  • 0 to 3 years of experience in customer service.
