Job Description

D. E. Shaw Group are looking for bright and exceptional programmers to join there Software Developer teams based in the firm’s offices in Hyderabad/Bengaluru/Gurugram. D. E. Shaw Group have requirements across various teams that are involved in catering to the trading desk’s needs during the life cycle of a trade and in the research, design, development, and standardization of technologies for firm-wide adoption.

Here’s what you’ll do every day:

  • Work on your own projects and work with others on team projects.
  • Find the best technology for each project.
  • Fix problems with programs and data.
  • Complete projects from start to finish.
  • Help other team members learn and grow.
  • Review the work of others.

We’re Looking For:

  • Strong Programming Skills: Experienced in C++, Java, and/or Python.
  • Web Development Expertise: Familiarity with React, Redux, RESTful APIs, Perl, and messaging systems.
  • Database Knowledge: Experience with SQL Server is a plus.
  • Java Frameworks: Experience with Spring, Mybatis/ibatis/Hibernate is a strong advantage.
  • Front-end Skills: Proficiency in jQuery and JavaScript.
  • Excellent Problem-Solving: Ability to think critically and find solutions.
  • Passion for Technology: Enthusiastic about learning and working with new technologies.
  • Strong Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Leadership Potential: Inclination towards or experience in project or people management.
