About the Role

As a Data Engineering Specialist, you will play a vital role in driving data-driven decision-making within Baker Hughes’ Sustainability & ESG Reporting team. You will work with cross-functional teams to develop and maintain data pipelines, ensuring the availability of high-quality data for various applications.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain data models and pipelines for data processing, ingestion, and consumption.
  • Ensure data governance, quality, and security.
  • Monitor and support critical data pipelines.
  • Implement automated testing procedures.
  • Identify and address data-related changes and impacts.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
  • Strong knowledge of data engineering concepts (SQL, data modeling, ELT).
  • Proficiency in data processing languages and technologies (PySpark, databases, distributed systems).
  • Experience with data visualization tools (Tableau, PowerBI).
  • Understanding of Lean/Agile methodologies and continuous integration.
