Job DESCRIPTION

The Transportation Team is looking for a passionate software programmer analyst who will be responsible for:

• Working with business and operations teams to gather ship carrier requirements.
• Collaborating with transportation technology teams to integrate new carriers and ship methods into the network.
• Designing, developing, and maintaining transportation documents such as shipping labels, carrier electronic manifests, and invoices.
• Working alongside development teams on Amazon Corporate and Divisional Software projects, updating/enhancing our current software.
• Automating manual configuration processes and documenting our systems.

Amazon Off Campus Eligibility Criteria:

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Education: A Bachelor’s degree in CS or a related field with 0-5 years of experience is preferred.
• Scripting Languages: Knowledge of scripting languages such as SQL, Perl, Python, XML, or Ruby is a plus.
• Programming Languages: Ability to write code in C, C++, or Java is a plus.
• Technical Skills: Ability to understand functional/technical specifications and analyze data.
• Other Skills: Strong organizational and problem-solving skills with great attention to detail, including the ability to track multiple test executions simultaneously and synthesize the results.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

• Education: You must have a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• Web Development: You must be proficient in modern web development technologies, including HTML5, CSS, and JavaScript frameworks (Angular JS, React, Backbone.js, etc.).
• Experience: You need at least 2+ years of experience developing web-based user interfaces.
• User Experience: You must demonstrate a passion for user experience and improving usability.
• Communication: You must have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Cloud Knowledge: You need to have knowledge of AWS systems and configurations.
• Work Style: You must be able to work in a fast-paced and agile development environment and learn new frameworks/stacks quickly.
• Self-Direction: You must be self-directed and capable of quickly shipping code in a dynamic environment.
