Job Role: Backend Developer (AWS Cloud/NodeJS)
As a Backend Developer at Standard Chartered, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing robust backend solutions using NodeJS, AWS Cloud, and Postgres DB. You will contribute to strategic technology initiatives, maintain high-quality code standards, and collaborate with cross-functional teams throughout the project lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
🎯 Strategic Contribution:
- Awareness and understanding of the business strategy and model defined for the project.
- Execute and supervise the design and development process.
🚀 Development & Delivery:
- Design and implement solutions based on Standard Chartered Bank (SCB) standards.
- Deliver all modules with a focus on Schedule, Cost, and Quality.
- Build reusable components and ensure a clean, organized, and testable codebase.
- Perform Proof of Concepts for new technologies and strategic initiatives.
- Contribute to the development of standards and frameworks for the organization.
🤝 Collaboration & Stakeholder Interaction:
- Interact with internal stakeholders like Testing, Environment, Configuration Management, and Interfacing Teams for project implementation.

Qualifications & Skills Required
- Educational Background: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or equivalent work experience.
- Backend Development Expertise:
- NodeJS: Expert-level proficiency in NodeJS for backend solutions.
- AWS Cloud: Hands-on experience with AWS cloud services.
- Postgres Database: Strong understanding and practical experience with Postgres DB.
- Programming Languages & Tools:
- Java, JavaScript: Additional proficiency in Java and JavaScript.
- Git: Experience with version control using Git.
