The Role (Simplified):

The Morningstar AdviserLogic Data Consulting team is looking for a driven Associate Business Analyst to join their team. This is a great opportunity for someone who’s good at analyzing data, solving problems, and loves working with data. You’ll mainly be helping clients move their data from old systems to our platform.

Responsibilities (Simplified):

• Data Migration: Help clients move their data, understanding their old systems, working with the database team to import the data correctly, and checking the imported data.
• Client Communication: Talk directly to clients to understand what they need for their data migration and answer any questions they have. Make sure the moved data meets their business needs.
• Data Analysis: Analyze client data and give clear instructions to the database team on how to import it. Check the moved data to make sure it’s complete, accurate, and what the client expects.
• Integration Support: Help clients set up their connections to the platform so everything works together smoothly.
• Quality Control: Test and check the moved data to ensure it’s high-quality and fix any data problems to keep clients happy.
• Process Improvement: Look for ways to make the data migration process better and work with the team to improve tools and workflows.
• Teamwork: Work with other teams (like database and tech support) to make sure the data migration goes smoothly and meets client needs.
• Continuous Learning: Help develop best practices and tools for the team. Always look for ways to improve things and add value.

What you’ll need:

• Education: A bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
• Experience: 0-3 years of experience in areas like professional services, data analysis, working with CRM data, or similar fields. Experience in financial planning is a bonus!
• Analytical Skills: You should be able to understand complex data, find patterns, and identify problems, especially when it comes to moving data from one system to another.
• Problem-Solving Skills: You need to be good at solving problems and focused on getting results that make clients happy.
• Communication Skills: You should be able to explain complex ideas clearly and simply, both in writing and when speaking.
• Work Ethic: You need to be organized, able to work independently, and comfortable juggling multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Technical Skills: You should be proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel (advanced skills are a must).
• Teamwork & Client Interaction: You need to be able to work well with different teams and talk to clients to understand what they need so you can create solutions that fit them.
